About Me

I began freeskiing in 2011. This sport really got me because of its freedom and creativity. In 2016, I started to focus on halfpipe. I’ve consequently been integrated into the B team of Swiss Freeski. I began working at the Golf-Club Crans-sur-Sierre for my compulsory business school internship in 2018 and I still work there, however I am only employed in the summertime as the Golf-Club closes early november for the winter. It gives me the opportunity to train during the whole winter season and to take part in both national and international contests.

With Swiss Freeski, I go to a lot of training camps and contests so I can work my way up to be challenging the best skiers. During the last seasons, I’ve been featured in numerous articles in regional newspapers such as : le Nouvelliste, Le Journal de Sierre and SkiActu. Before the 2018 Olympics, the Swiss television (RTS) produced a short documentary about my trainings and ambitions that has been aired twice. Achieving great results during the 2017-18 season, I went to PyeongChang for the Olympics. This experience brought me confidence and a better perception of my skills.

Before the 2021-22 season I was selected to do my mandatory military service as an elite athlete which means that during my military service I had the possibility to be followed and trained by professional coaches to prepare my ski season at best. It's an advantage to be able to combine the army and your sport because if you are not taken you have to "stop" your sport to do the mandatory service. The places for this program are very limited and the army selects 50 athletes from all Olympic sports with the best chances of success. It motivated me a lot for the following season and it will surely remain the best physical preparation I ever had.

The 2021-22 season was very intense physically and emotionally. For the first time in my career, I received an invitation for the DewTour, which promised to be a great season. However, during the first event of the year at Copper Mountain, I fell heavily and tore my knee. At first sight, my knee seemed fine because it was very stable but, after several tests with physios on site and then after the MRI in Switzerland, the verdict was in... torne ACL & meniscus and a bone bruise on the top of the tibia. As it was an Olympic season, my doctor gave me two options. Either I could have surgery right away or I could attempt to ski with a brace for the rest of the season and try to qualify for the Olympic Games in Beijing. I had less than two months to reshape my leg, regain my confidence on the skis with the brace and redo my tricks in the halfpipe. I went to the gym every day to get ready for this event. It was only a few days before leaving for the Games that I was able to redo the tricks I had injured myself on, but it was only there that I was able to do doubles again. The luck was surely on my side because my knee did not hurt during the training before the competition. I then managed to qualify for the final of the Olympic Games to finish in 12th place and fulfill all the objectives I had set myself !

I had surgery shortly after the Olympics in March 2022 and started skiing again in mid-October 2022. By mid-November I had already done all my tricks and was ready to start the 2022-23 season.

At the World Championships in Bakuriani in 2023, I managed to put down the run I did before the injury and qualify myself for the World Champs final (if you want to see this run and many more videos click here to see my youtube account).

The 2023-24 season wasn't the best one in terms of resutls but the skiing was there. I wanted to change my run because my vision of the halfpipe had changed a bit and I had other tricks in mind that I liked and that I wanted to show at the next competitions. The end-of-season training sessions have paid off and I'm getting closer and closer to achieving my new run.

My goals for the following seasons are to be invited to the Xgames, to qualify myself for the 2025 World Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland, achieve good results to ensure my qualification for the next Olympics and have fun !
